RAMBLING HOUSE

The first Rambling House session of 2019 will take place in Scartaglen Heritage Centre on Monday night next January 14th at 8.30pm. As always admission is free, with a raffle and refreshments on the night. All are welcome.

AFTERNOON OF PRAYER

The next Afternoon of Prayer in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Scartaglen will be on Sunday January 20th and will commence at 2.30pm with the Rosary. Everyone welcome.

LADIES FOOTBALL AGM

The AGM of Scartaglen Ladies Football Club will take place in the Clubhouse on Wednesday night January 16th at 8pm. Nominations and motions should be with the Secretary by this Sunday January 13th.

DEATH

The death took place on Friday last of Denis Riordan of Scartaglen Village. The late Denis had been ill for some time. The deceased was a great footballer and was the back bone of many Scartaglen teams in the 1960’s and 70’s as well as being involved with district teams. He worked for a long number of years in Riordan’s Garage as a mechanic and excelled in that role. The late Denis is survived by his sister Margaret, by his brother Jeremiah, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. He was laid to rest in Scartaglen Cemetery on Monday last. May her Rest In Peace.

TEA DANCE

Sliabh Luachra Active Retired Network Tea Dance with main course lunch will take place on Sunday January 20th in the River Island Hotel Castleisland. Lunch will commence at 1pm sharp and will be followed by an afternoon of dancing until 4.30pm. Buses sponsored by Local Link Kerry are available from your area.
