MARRIAGE

Triona Coffey, daughter of John and Mary of Kenneig married Mike Quirke of Foilmore in the Daniel O’Connell Memorial Church, Cahersivee­n on December 27th in a ceremony conducted by Fr. Larry Kelly. Best man was James Quirke and Groomsmen Paul O’Shea and Fred Kelliher. Bridesmaid­s were Deirdre Coffey, Maureen Colleran and Mary Clifford.

Flower girls were Fodhla Quirke and Emma Breen. Pageboy was Tom Quirke. The wedding reception took place in the Killarney Oaks Hotel and the happy couple will live in Foilmore where we wish them many years of wedded bliss.

DEATH

Stephen Byrne of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Beenbane died peacefully at Bon Secours hospital Tralee on Saturday 29th December. His remains were removed from Fitzgerald’s Funeral Home on Sunday, 30 December to St. Finian’s Church and his funeral Mass took place on Monday, 31 December, at 11am, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cahersivee­n.

Stephen is survived by his wife Josie (nee O’Sullivan, Spunkane); sons Stephen, Noel & Kieran; daughters-in-law; grandchild­ren; brothers Alan & Eamonn; brothers-in-law Donie O’Sullivan and Benny O’Sullivan (Spunkane) ; sister-in-law; nephews, nieces, relative & friends to whom we offer our sincere sympathy.
