ON Friday, January 4, the AGM of the Valentia Young Islanders GAA club took place, and the following personnel were appointed:

Marie O’Neill, who stepped down as the secretary, was in the position for the past two years and also served as such in years gone by.

Marie was a huge administra­tive cog in the club and was always on the ball, reliable, very organised and competent. The club sincerely thanks her for her dedication and welcomes the incoming Secretary, Sinéad O’Connor.

Mick O’Connell and Mossie O’Driscoll were also welcomed as Vice-presidents.
