Celtic sides clash in U12

Under 12 Premier

THE two Killarney Celtic sides clashed at Celtic Park with the Whites, who are top of the table, taking the win.

Their goals came from Naoise O’Donoghue and Eve Culhane who both scored two each. Lucy O’Connor in the White’s goal denied her Green club mates by making a number of big saves.

Listowel Celtic closed the gap on the top two thanks to goals from Lisa Slattery, Laura Falvey, Ruby Daly, Laura Meehan and Emile Brown.

Iveragh United had goals from Katie O’Connell (4), Katie Foster (2) and Amiee Kelly in their win over MEK Kickerz. Sarah O’Sullivan (2) and Sinead O’Sullivan replied for MEK in what was a tight game where the South Kerry girls only pulled away in the second half.

Under 14 Premier

WINS by Killarney Celtic Green and Listowel Celtic saw both sides draw level with Inter Kenmare at the top of an exciting division.

Celtic Green were too experienced for Castleisland and won thanks to goals from Fiana Bradley, Lucy O’Sullivan, Ava O’Mahony, Elizabeth Coffey, Ava O’Neill, Claire Culhane, Micheala O’Meara and Tirna Murphy. But they also needed to have their keeper Lucy O’Sullivan in top form as she kept out Castleisland on a number of occasions.

Listowel Celtic won 4-1 away to Fenit for whom Lily Nowak got the goal.

But a Lily Twomey hat trick and one from Kelly Enright saw Listowel Celtic take the points back to North Kerry.
