Glór na nGael prize for Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne

WEST Kerry Irish language organisations were well represented at the annual Glór na nGael awards held in the Glasson Hotel, Athlone. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne won second place in the Gaeltacht category, receiving a prize of €3,000, while Clochán Bhréanainn won an award for the best voluntary group in Munster, worth €1,500.

A prize fund totalling €80,000 was awarded to Irish language community groups and third level societies in recognition of their achievements in language promotion and revival.
