The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)
THE GAME IN 60 SECONDS
MAINMAN
From the unheralded but vital work of Jack Barry and Adrian Spillane to the tenacity of Paul Murphy, Tom O’Sullivan and other in defence, this was the quintessential collective performance from Kerry, but DARA MOYNIHAN’S quality and graft was particularly notable and crucial to Kerry’s cause
KEY MOMENT
With Dublin chipping away at Kerry’s five-point lead in the second half Mick Fitzsimons’ sending-off definitely played its part in the visitors getting a little over-stretched in that final minute as Kerry created and converted the winning score
TALKING POINT
Jim Gavin was unperturbed at the result and with Cluxton, McMahon, O’Sullivan, Kilkenny and maybe even Connolly to come back you could see why. However, Kerry are still waiting on Shane Murphy, Foley, White, Clifford, Burns, McCarthy and O’Donoghue to join up with them so Peter Keane can feel equally good about things too
