No stopping Dan Sugrue

-

THERE simply no stopping Dooks professional Dan Sugrue as he continued his fantastic form again last week for his fourth win in a row in the Munster PGA Winter Series.

The 40-year old Killarney native fired a five-under par round of 67 at Cork Golf Club to win by a shot from David Ryan of Cahir Park with Castletroy’s Gary Howie third with a round of 70 while Sugrue was joined by his brother John and John Dooley in winning the team event also.

Earlier this winter Dan teamed up with Waterville’s David Higgins to win the Munster PGA Fourball at Fota Island and he followed that with victory in Killarney a few weeks later in Killarney before winning again at the Castlemartyr Resort.

His victory in the team event at Cork is also the second of the series for Dan and his brother John who previously won at Castlemartyr when they teamed up with Limerick’s Tim Rice.
