Fantastic turnout for the fundraising Nagle Rice walk

SUCH was the excitement in the build up to the family fun run/walk on Sunday that even the sunshine received the memo as blue skies emerged from behind the clouds to help everyone on their way.

There were smiles all around as walkers and runners laced up their shoes, donned their woolly caps and set off a great day out for all the ages.

The walk, which took place along the newly re-developed road in Milltown, attracted quite the crowd at the weekend.

Locals came together to help raise some much needed funds for the Nagle Rice All Weather Pitch and the Milltown/Listry Ladies Football team; many expressed their delight at how well the walk went.

Organisers wished to pay a huge thank you to their sponsors, Kelly’s Londis & Larkin’s Pub, Restaurant and B&B, for their support.
