Kerry Motor Works celebrates Kerry’s number one for Ford in Kerry

-

FORD passenger cars have taken the top spot in the January sales market this year in Kerry with 126 units sold.

According to figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI), national car sales during the month were 32,374 units and the tally for light commercials was 5,650 vehicles sold.

In the combined national new vehicle market for January 2019, Ford sold the highest number of vehicles with a total of 4,362 units (3,156 cars and 1,206 vans).

Commenting on the January vehicle market, Kieran Griffin of Kerry Motor Works in Tralee said: “We are really delighted to be the January market leaders and to have the Ford Kuga as the top selling model in Kerry. It’s also encouraging to see that our new Ford Focus is in third position. At Kerry Motor Works our team work hard to deliver outstanding customer service and to offer a range of quality products and services that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. The new Ford 191 Innov8 campaign is still running with a seven-year warranty, seven-year breakdown assist plus two years free servicing on select models so for those considering the purchase of a new vehicle be sure to drop by.”

Reflecting the increasing popularity of SUVs among Ireland’s car-buyers, the Ford Kuga was among the top-selling model during January in Kerry. However, as evidence that Irish motorists have not fully turned their backs on the ‘traditional’ saloon or hatchback, the new Ford Focus was the third top-selling model with 32 units sold
