It continues to be one of Listowel’s greatest industry drivers

LISTOWEL Business & Community Alliance recognise the immense value that businesses at ‘Listowel Park’ bring to Listowel and the greater north Kerry area, providing employment and generating revenue for the local economy.

It understands that Listowel Business Park is fundamental to the current economic success and future vibrancy. Moreover, Listowel Business Park continues to provide invaluable employment and innovation at the core of north Kerry

“The business park has long been an industry hub for Listowel and the greater north Kerry area. Once the home to Melchert Electronics, which was founded in Listowel back in 1977 and Spectra founded in 1970, Clieveragh continues to thrive today,” said Collette O’Connor, Communications Officer with Listowel Business & Community Alliance.

Collette added that over the years the business park has witnessed many changes, and yet continues to be one of the main employment hubs in north Kerry.

“Currently operating there are international companies such as Listal and Prestige Foods alongside Irish based companies, Road Safety Operations Ireland and Teagasc, to name a few,” Collette said.

“Businesses in Clieveragh have seen the huge recession of the 1980s and the Celtic Tiger come and go. Now as Irish rural towns battle against the wave of COVID-19, Listowel Business Park continues to be one of the Listowel’s greatest industry drivers,” she added.
