Coiste Na Nog: Training continues on to the pitch in Farranfore with U6 and U8 boys and girls and U10 boys on Saturday. All new player welcome. All players are reminded to bring their own water bottles. Parents are encouraged to drop and go. Remember No membership/No Health Questionna­ire - No play. Thank all parents, coaches and players for their co-operation with covid procedures. Please note that it is now mandatory that all players of all codes MUST pay €2 for training. Firies U8 and U10 Boys welcomed Na Gaeil on Sunday morning for a series of Go Games. Many thanks to the Firies and Na Gaeil coaches for their direction and well done to all the boys on their fantastic performanc­es.

U14 Boys: Firies U14 boys A Team who beat Dr. Crokes by a point and lost to Glenflesk. Under 14 B Team lost to Austin Stacks. The B Team were away to Ballymac Monday 10th and A Team away to Kenmare on Wednesday 13th. Well done both teams and thanks to parents for their support.

U16 Boys: U16 Boys topped their League Group with a win away to Beaufort 9-14 to 3-8 Covid 19 return to play: The GAA Health Questionna­ire must be filled out by all players (adult) and parents of players (Juvenile) prior to the first training session that you attend. Hurling: Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the Kellogg’s Hurling Cul Camp in Farranfore last week. It was great to see so many at the First of many Hurling Cul Camp in Farranfore.

Training continues in Farranfore on Thursdays from 7 to 8pm for U6 to U12. All new boys and girls are more than welcome to join, all hurling gear provided for newcomers. Junior Premier Club Championsh­ip Gp 3-Rd3:

Firies made the journey to Keel to play the home side in their final group game in the Junior Premier Championsh­ip. This was a crucial game for both sides, as the loser would be forced into a relegation payoff. Firies got off to the better start and lead by 1-02 to no score after 5 minutes. With the Firies score goal coming from Aaron Flynn. But this lead was short lived as keel fought back and the score were level 1-02 to 1-02 after 10 minutes. Firies tagged on another point a minute later from Aaron Flynn. But Keel added two further points to lead 1-04 to 1-03 at the water break. Aaron added a further point just after the break to level up the scores after 16 minutes. In the 25th minute, Aaron Murphy scored his second goal to give Keel the lead at half time 2-08 to 1-08. Keel opened the scoring in the second half with a free. Firies then took abit of control of the game and had a number of goal chances denied until Padraig de Brun finally put the ball in the net to leave the minimum between them at the second half water break. Again Keel got off to the quicker start after the water break with another point to stretch their lead to two points. In the 24th minute Firies had another goal chance but Aaron was denied on the goal line by the Keel corner back. Then a minute later, Firies finally took the lead for the fort time since the 9th minute with a goal from Donnacha O’Sullivan to lead 3-09 to 2-11. But it was short lived as in the 27th minutes Keel scored another point to bring the scores level again. Keel added a further 2 point before Firies got their final score from a Donnacha free to leave the minimum between the sides in injury time. But with the last kick of the game, Keel added a further goal to win by 4 point points on a final score of Keel 3-14 Firies 3-10.
