Killarney’s BNI Chapter presents cheque of over €4k to Killorglin Family Resource Centre

THE PROCEEDS WERE FROM A CHARITY BALL AND AUCTION THAT WERE HELD BY BUSINESS NETWORK INTERNATIO­NAL CHAPTER IN NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR

THE Killarney Chapter of BNI (Business Networking Internatio­nal), at their most recent in-person meeting, presented a cheque for €4,288 to the Killorglin Family Resource Centre.

The money was the proceeds as part of the BNI Awards and Charity Ball back in November – through ticket sales and an auction and raffle on the night – and it was presented to Máiread O’Sullivan, a member of BNI Killarney and also the Deputy Manager of the Killorglin Family Resource Centre.

Speaking about the presentati­on, Máiread outlined what the money raised will be used for.

“The money received from the BNI will help greatly with the increasing need for therapies for children and adolescent­s. Young people are experienci­ng anxiety and stress in numbers like never before and the KFRC offers a number of therapies including play therapy & art therapy, and caters to those who self refer and are referred through schools and partner agencies,” she said.
