Best foot forward for Shaws on night of charity and fun
SOME of Kerry’s best-known footballing faces took the time from their schedules last week to help out at a night of fashion and fun organised by Shaws department store.
At the fashion show – which took place in the beautiful surroundings of Tralee’s Rose Hotel – Bomber Liston, Ogie Moran and Sean Walsh were among the well-known faces who took to the catwalk.
The aim was to raise as much funds as possible for Shaws’ charity partner, the Irish Hospice Foundation, and one of the organisers Anna Bunyan told The Kerryman that the event had been a huge success.
“It was very good. We had an amazing night. There was a great turnout, and the venue was absolutely fabulous, and everyone did a wonderful job on the night,” she said.
The Shaws team was also joined by representatives from the Irish Hospice Foundation, including Deirdre Lenihan, who was delighted.
There is no final figure on how much was raised from the fashion show, but we’re sure that the generous spirit of Kerry people will ring true once more.
