JACK HAN­NON WAS PRE­SENTED WITH THE AWARD FOR HIS PER­FOR­MANCE IN THE TREMEN­DOUSLY EX­CIT­ING U14 ‘B’ C’SHIP FI­NAL, WHERE HE MANNED THE CEN­TRE HALF BACK PO­SI­TION WITH AU­THOR­ITY AND SHOWED GREAT LEAD­ER­SHIP AND SKILL THROUGH­OUT THE GAME AGAINST ST. BREN­DANS. WHEN THE PRES­SURE WAS MOST IN THE FI­NAL MIN­UTES, HE CAUGHT SEV­ERAL VI­TAL BALLS IN THE AIR. WELL DONE JACK. FOR THE SEC­OND YEAR IN A ROW, OISIN MAUN­SELL TOOK THE TOM HEALY PLAYER OF THE TOUR­NA­MENT AWARD. THROUGH­OUT THE TOUR­NA­MENT, OISIN SHOWED SKILL, TEAM­WORK, LEAD­ER­SHIP AND SPORTS­MAN­SHIP. CON­GRAT­U­LA­TIONS OISIN. JACK PARKER IS A PLAYER WHO HAS GROWN IN STATURE THROUGH­OUT THE YEAR AND WHEN ABBEY­DOR­NEY WERE UN­DER PRES­SURE IN THE 2ND HALF IN THE MI­NOR A C’SHIP FI­NAL, JACK WAS THE PLAYER WHO HELD THEM TO­GETHER. HIS FIELD­ING AND DIS­TRI­BU­TION OF THE SLIOTAR WAS SU­PERB MAK­ING HIM A WOR­THY RE­CIP­I­ENT OF THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD. WELL DONE JACK. BORD NA NÓG AWARDS : THERE WAS A GREAT TURNOUT FOR OUR OUR BORD NA NOG AWARDS LAST SUN­DAY EVENING IN THE CLUB­HOUSE WHERE OUR UN­DER­AGE PLAY­ERS FROM U6 TO U16 WERE RE­WARDED FOR THEIR ACHIEVE­MENTS ON THE FIELD OF PLAY THROUGH­OUT THE YEAR. SPE­CIAL GUEST WAS DAR­RAGH O’CON­NELL, FOR­MER ABBEY­DOR­NEY HURLER, WHO PRE­SENTED THE PLAY­ERS WITH THEIR MEDALS.

LAST MAN STAND­ING : AF­TER BOTH PLAY­ERS WENT THROUGH IN WEEK 11, OUR 2 RE­MAIN­ING PLAY­ERS LAURA O’CON­NELL AND TOMMY O’NEILL HAVE DE­CIDED TO SPLIT THE POT, EACH TAK­ING €250 IN PRIZE MONEY. WELL DONE TO BOTH PLAY­ERS AND THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO ALL WHO SUP­PORTED THE COM­PE­TI­TION.
