Classes re­sumed in all cen­tres from Mon­day, Jan­uary 7th. Two weeks re­main in Term 1. Se­cond term be­gins on Mon­day, Jan­uary 21st.


Be­fore com­mit­ting to a full term (15 lessons) or year (30 lessons) of tu­ition, par­ents and adult stu­dents can re­quest a tryout les­son or mini term (usu­ally 5 lessons) on any in­stru­ment and voice. Light Opera So­ci­ety of Tralee’s pro­duc­tion of Chicago, di­rected by Grainne O’ Car­roll, takes to the boards in Si­amsa Tire in early March. Book­ing is now open on 066-7123055 and on­line at www.

Chore­og­ra­phy is by Mil­town na­tive Ka­t­rina Galvin, who grad­u­ated from Univer­sity of Lim­er­ick Ir­ish World Mu­sic Cen­tre with a 1st Hon­ours BA in Song and Dance. Ka­t­rina has been ac­cepted for rep­re­sen­ta­tion by the fa­mous Pineap­ple Stu­dios and is re­lo­cat­ing to Lon­don to work as a pro­fes­sional dancer.


Kerry School of Mu­sic Dance Academy takes to the boards in Si­amsa Tire also in March when stu­dents of Co­lette Maguire Jensen will present their an­nual show­case - Born to Dance. This is al­ways a sell-out so early book­ing is strongly ad­vised. This is the se­cond dance show­case of the year. On De­cem­ber 9th stu­dents of teacher Tara Dore per­formed their an­nual show­case to a packed Si­amsa Theatre.


Stu­dent con­certs take place this term in Ca­her­siveen, Din­gle, Lis­towel and Kil­lar­ney. Dates and venues to fol­low.


Kerry Cham­ber Choir, fol­low­ing on it’s suc­cess­ful pre-Christ­mas Mes­siah is turn­ing its at­ten­tion to Carl Orff’s Carmina Bu­rana. Watch this space for de­tails of per­for­mances.


Kerry School of Mu­sic’s Se­nior and Ju­nior Or­ches­tras will present their an­nual con­cert in Tralee and Kil­lar­ney in late March.


The Spring Mu­sic Fes­ti­val and Ensem­ble Day take place in April just be­fore Easter. A sep­a­rate brochure will be avail­able from Fe­bru­ary.
