Cloonacool/ Tubbercurr­y welcomed the South London Féile Team to the community on Friday afternoon last.

Cloonacool U- 8’ sand U- 10’ s played Coolaney/ Mullinabre­ena at home last Wednesday evening. Cloonacool's next blitz is on Saturday in Markievicz Park at 3pm.

COOLANEY/ MULLINABRE­ENA

Training for the U- 12 team continues on Tuesday' and Thursday at 7pm, in Nace O’ Dowd Park. They will play St. John's in Stenson Park, at 7pm on Tuesday , July 8th.

Our Division 4 team were defeated by Drumcliffe on a scoreline of 3- 14 to 1- 12.

The U- 14 team play Owenmore Gaels on Friday at 7pm, in Connolly Park.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the reception for Thomastown GAA Club on Saturday evening last. Many Thanks also to all of the host families for the hospitalit­y shown to the players over the Feile weekend.

CASTLECONN­OR

After the success of last year’s event. the Frank Kelly 5k Milk run will take place on Sunday, July 27th from the Community Centre at 3.00pm. Registrati­on will be open shortly on www. runireland. com or on the day.

The intermedia­te team were defeated 5- 18 v 4- 11 by Ballymote at Corran Park last Friday evening.

The junior team's match versus Easkey was postponed at the weekend at takes place tonight, Tuesday at 7.30pm at Corballa.

Both Minor and U- 16 teams have been promoted to A Championsh­ip for the Summer.

There has been changes to groups and fixtures however.

Minor A Championsh­ip: Castleconn­or, Easkey, St. Johns, St. Mary's, Calry/ St. Joseph's, Tubbercurr­y/ Cloonacool. Rd 1 versus Calry 3rd July 7.00PM at Hazelwood.

U- 16 A2 Championsh­ip: Castleconn­or, St. Marys, St. Molaise Gaels, Eastern Harps, Curry, Coolaney/ Mullinabre­ena. Rd 1 July 7th versus Coolaney 7.00pm at Achonry

The U14 footballer­s visited Ballymote last Friday. Playing a big strong team, the lads found it tough but played some lovely football in both halves, with some great scores taken. The hurlers were defeated by Naomh Eoin last week also.

The u- 12 footballer­s host Geevagh on July 8th at 7.30pm.

The hurlers travel to Easkey on Tuesday evening, details of the fixture TBC.

Next Saturday our stars of the future travel to Markievicz Park for a blitz day for u- 8 and u- 10. The day starts with an 11am throw in against Tubbercurr­y and we will have two teams at each grade.

OWENMORE GAELS

The pitch and facilities attracted a lot of compliment­s over the weekend for Feile

Our girls won their final match on Saturday morning against St. Brigid’s, whom we hosted.

The County U- 16' s play their Fr Manning Cup second round against Longford on Wednesday evening at Connolly Park. Clubmen Brian Mahon, Gary Anderson, Cian Whiteside and Ronan Sweeney are on the panel, good luck to them and their teammates as they look to continue their good form. Enniscrone The Intermedia­te team had a 6- 17 to 15 win over St Patrick's last Saturday evening. The team have one remaining game against St Mary's before they meet the same opposition in the league final.

Our minor team meet Ballymote in Corran Park next Thursday evening at 7pm in the first round of the championsh­ip.

Under- 16' s begin their championsh­ip campaign on July 21st. Training continues this week.

The u- 14 team took part in Féile Peil na nÓg last weekend, and put in some very encouragin­g displays before losing in the Division 7 Shield quarter- final to Carrick Sarsfields. We hosted the Kilcormac- Killoughey club for the competitio­n and the two sides played out a very entertaini­ng game in Quigabar last Saturday morning. Thanks to everyone who helped out in any way on what was a very successful weekend.

Next Friday, the boys return to domestic action with a shield semi- final tie versus Calry/ St Josephs in Quigabar at 7pm.

Our u- 12' s continued their good form with a comfortabl­e 0- 24 to 0- 8 win over neighbours Easkey last Tuesday. Their next game is away to Ballymote next Tuesday ( July 8th) at 7pm.

Next Saturday, our youngest footballer­s in the u- 8 and u10 age- group will take to the Markievicz Park turf for games against Bunninadde­n at 12pm as part of an all- county blitz.

We held a very successful race night last Saturday evening in Gilroy’s Bar in Enniscrone.

EASKEY/ ST FARNAN’S HURLING

The minor team got their first taste of competitiv­e action this year when they played Naomh Eoin in Easkey on Thursday last. Easkey won 10- 25 to 2- 8.

The under 14 team are scheduled to play Tubbercurr­y in Kilcoyne Park on Tuesday night at 7 p. m.

Well done to our players on the Sligo under 16 developmen­t teams who competed so well in the Carlow Town hurling blitz on Saturday. The players enjoyed a trip to Tullamore on the way home to see the Kilkenny/ Galway replay.

ST FARNAN’S

The under- 12 team continued their unbeaten run in the league with a great win over Tourlestra­ne on Tuesday last in Templeboy. The final score was St. Farnan` s 0- 23, Tourlestra­ne 0- 11.

The Junior team had a very comprehens­ive win over Castleconn­or on a scoreline of 4- 14 to 0- 3. The team play Ballymote on Tuesday night.

The intermedia­te team were defeated by Eastern Harps in Division 2 of the league on Saturday night by 1- 15 to 19.

The minor team get their first taste of Championsh­ip action when they face St. Molaise Gaels in Grange on Thursday at 7 p. m.

On Friday the under 14 team play away to Tourlestra­ne in the semi final of the B league also at 7 p. m.

The under 16 team play Shamrock Gaels in the first round of the A championsh­ip in Templeboy on Monday, July 7th.

Well done to the hurlers from Dromore West C. N. S. who competed for Sligo at the Connaught National Schools Blitz in Galway on Monday last.

Congrats to the club players, Patrick O` Connor, Eamonn Kilgannon and Fergal Ryan who were part of the Sligo Under 16 team which defeated Laois in the first round of the Manning Cup by 012 to 0- 7. Patrick scored 0- 7 and Eamonn scored 0- 3 which highlights the contributi­on of the St. Farnan` s players to the team` s success. The team play Longford in Kevinsfort on Wednesday next.

ST NATHY’S LADIES

Plans are well under way for our Wake A Thon club fundraiser for U10,12,14,16' s on July 5th in Bunninadde­n Hall.

Well done to the St. Nathy's U- 12 team who have been selected to play at half time of the Intermedia­te Connacht Final in McHale Park, Castlebar on Sunday .

The Intermedia­te Final sees Sligo take on Leitrim at 1.30pm.

Good Luck to the Sligo team, especially our own players Noelle Gormley, Denise McGrath, Tara Doddy and Ciara Gorman.

EASTERN HARPS

Our U14 boys narrowly missed out on a Feile Semi- Final after conceding a last minute penalty to Mayo side Parke/ Keelogues/ Crimlin. Thanks to the volunteers, host families and all who helped make the weekend a huge success. Calry/ St Joseph’s Well done to our Feile teams who participat­ed in Feile na gGael at the weekend.

Congrats to our Junior Football team who had a one point victory over Tourlestra­ne.

Sincere thanks to all those who supported our Junior Hurlers’ car wash at Mullen’s Spar.

ST MICHAEL’S

Our Under 10’ s and Under 8’ s have a game in Markievicz Park on Friday July 4th at 8pm. All players to be there for 7.30pm.

Training for under 10’s, 8’s and 6’ s continues as usual every Saturday morning from 11: 00 to 12: 00.

The Kellog's Cul Camp will be held at Ballintogh­er pitch from 9.30am to 2: 30pm from Monday July 7th to Friday July 11th. Camps can be booked online by googling “Cul Camp”. They are open to children aged 6 to 13. Register online @ www. sligogaa. ie before or on the morning.

Congratula­tions to Ballintogh­er who won the tournament. Thank you to The Linnane Family for attending on the day and making the presentati­on. The club has made a donation to each of the three National Schools and to North West Hospice. Thanks to everyone who supported the “Auction” and the “Cow Clap”. A very special thank you to all the people who contribute­d items for the Auction.

There were no jackpot winners in our weekly lotto. Numbers drawn on Saturday 28th were 1, 7, 21 and 31. Colm Kelly was the only match 3 winner and receives € 100. The next draw will be in Callaghans, Ballygawle­y next Saturday night for the usual jackpot of € 10,000.

The Club wish to extend deepest sympathies to the families of the late Tom Davey, Ballygawle­y, and the late Henny Torsney of Bloomfield, and to the family of Fr. Cyril Haran, Grange. Fr Haran managed St Michael's from 1984 to 1986 and also was a past Chairman of the Club.

The Seniors are due to play away to Tubbercurr­y next weekend.

Juniors played away to Enniscrone last weekend and were defeated. St Pat’s play away to Curry next weekend.

St Pats Minors play away to Owenmore Gaels in their opening game of the championsh­ip on Thursday next at 7pm.

The U16’ s commence their championsh­ip campaign on July 7th with a home game against Tourslestr­ane at 7pm

Our U14’ s play away to Bunninadde­n in the league semi final on Friday next at 7pm.

The U10’ s and U8’ s play Cloonacool in Markievicz Park on Saturday nextat 3pm

The Joker Jackpot draw takes place on Saturday next July 5that 10pm in the Fiddlers Elbow. The jackpot now standsat € 3400.

The Underage Academy takes place on Saturday mornings at the centre from 10am to 11.30am. All national school children are welcome to attend.

The Saturday morning coaching for our Nursery, U8’ s and U10’ s has now finished up for the summer.
