GRAVEYARD MASS

The annual Mass will be celebrated in Knockbrack cemetery on Wednesday July 30th at 8pm. People who have relatives buried in this graveyard are asked to tidy their graves and to remove spoil and old withered wreaths and dispose of them in an appropriat­e manner Acollectio­n for the general upkeep and maintenanc­e of the graveyard will take place on the occasion of the Mass and people are asked to be as generouis as possible.

RECENT BAPTISM

Congtratul­ations are extended to Chloe Patricia Gallagher, Cloonena who was babtised in Culfadda Church and to her parents Shane and Sarah and her sister Lily.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Well done to all who took part in the county finals of the community games in Sligo. The Parish had participan­ts in athletics, cycling, and swimming. In swimming Kieran Breheny took gold and Daniel won the bronze. In athletics Liam Higgins took the gold and Saoirse Ryan took the silver. Donal Mitchell took the silver in the cycling competitio­n. Liam and Kieran will represent Sligo in the national finals in Athlone later in the year. Heartiest congratula­tions to all concerned, a marvellous achievemen­t for one of the smallest areas in the county.

END OF YEAR MASS

Fr Gabriel Murphy celebrated the end of year Mass for the pupils, teachers and parents of Culfadda N S on thursday last and he congratula­ted the pupils and teachers on their many achievemen­ts during the year.

KEASH SOCIAL CLUB

Every wednesday the Keash social club meet in Keash Hall The afternoon begins with a three course meal at 1pm. This is followed by an opportunit­y to sit and relax to talk and socialise. Various activities also take place. Day trips are also arranged and the club is open to everyone who would like to come along. The cost is € 5 which includes the meal.
