Congratula­tions to the boys' team in Ardkeeran NS who won the Cumann na mBunscol 4/ 5 teacher school section in Gaelic football. This was a first for the school and all the school community were very proud of their achievemen­t. The team were as follows Daragh Kelly ( captain), Dillon Conlon, Eoin Dwyer, Patrick Kenny, Christian Monaghan, Niall O Donnell, Luke Tuohy, Lee Deignan, Aaron McKenna, Johnny Kenny, Sean Mulligan, Jack Duignan, Shane Dwyer, CiarÃn Cawley, Conor Mc Morrow and Jamie Parkes.

TABLE QUIZ

A table Quiz will take place in McDermott's Pub, Riverstown on July 5 at 9pm. The quiz is being run by two housemates Eoin Mc Dermott and Denise Quinn who are entering the Big Brother House on July 17th. € 20 per table. Big Brother is being ran in associatio­n with The Irish Kidney Associatio­n.

BALLYGAWLE­Y FESTIVAL

The Big Brother festival ( six trials over four days) will take place from July 17- 20 in Ballygawle­y Village. The public will have their chance to have their say on the contestant­s through an online voting system. The Big Brother garden will be open to the public from Friday 18th with a Kids movie being shown at 7pm.

On Saturday Stand- Up paddling will take place on Ballygawle­y Lake from 11am to 3pm for all ages ( all you have to do is show up). The garden will open at 1pm on the Saturday with live music from Ryan Hennessy and Tabby. Big Brother will be live on the Gig- Rig, Kids Entertainm­ent, Castles, games and a drumming workshop by Itchy Feet Drummers.

On Sunday the garden will also open at 1pm with music from 5- piece band, Backwater Jack, The Road Safety Authority Shuttle Bus, Farmyard in your School Yard, face painting. The Big Brother Exit will happen around 7pm. Kids enter free all weekend with an adult weekend ticket € 15 available from Sligo Gate Collooney, McTiernan's Daybreak. A shuttle bus service will be in operation from Sligo Town, Ballymote, Tubbercurr­y and Collooney. Cost € 5 per person. Those who to avail of this service should contact Dooley Express.

SUMMER CAMP

Little Buddies Summer Fun Camp runs June 30 to July 4. A little bit of everything: cooking, sports, art and craft and games. Cookery Camp runs July 7 to 11. Sports Camp runs July 14 to 18. Craft Camp runs from July 21 to 25. Camps are suitable for ages 5- 8 years and run from 9.30am - 1pm. Snacks included. Price € 60 per week. Contact Karen or Josephine on 9165660.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Well done to all the children who competed last weekend at the County Athletic finals and congratula­tions to the medal winners: Niall Kenny ( U 8 80m, Gold); Ciaran Kenny ( U10 60mh, Silver); Dylan McKenna ( U10 100m, Gold); Shania Murphy ( U 16 High Jump, Gold); Mairead Tuohy ( U 16 Discus, Silver). Best of luck to the U13 boys' Rounders team who are competing next weekend at the Connaught finals in Tuam.
