SALON 2, under the leadership of Anthony and Deirdre Kilcoyne, is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading hair salons. The salon currently provides employment for a team of 29 from its humble beginnings 20 years ago with a staff of just two. The premises on Adelaide Street is on the cusp of a makeover and expansion which is a very exciting recent development and signifies a bright future for the successful salon.

Together, Anthony and Deirdre have built up a thriving business. “We work well together,” said Anthony “as we both focus on different areas of the business. I concentrate on training and education and of course, looking after my clients while ensuring the smooth running of the salon and delivering excellent customer care. Deirdre works behind the scenes primarily, focusing on PR and marketing. We also have an amazing team working with us at Salon 2. We’re very proud of their achievements and appreciate the continuous support of the team and our loyal clients.

Salon 2 has been recognised by the Schwarzkopf Irish Hairdressing Business Awards for its contribution to the wider community and it’s continuous generous support of worthy causes - for 2014 the salon has chosen two local charities to focus their fundraising efforts SHOUT and St Johns Comfort Fund. The team’s expertise has been acknowledged in the numerous national and international accolades won over the years, including Schwarzkopf Connacht Salon of the Year three years in a row. Other awards include the recent ‘ Weddingsonline. ie Bridal Hair Stylist of the year 2014’ and IHF bridal category for the third year in a row as well as other Irish Hairdressing Federation wins in March and numerous other gents and ladies categories.
