WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

Taunagh Parish Church, Riverstown will be holding the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 4 at 8pm. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards also in the church. Everyone welcome. Children are very welcome as the theme of the service is ‘ Receive Children, Receive Me’.

FITTEST TEAM POSTPONED

Operation Transforma­tion’s Fun Finale has been postponed till April to hopefully get an improvemen­t in the weather and give groups a chance to put together their team. More informatio­n to follow.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Riverstown CCE would like to thank everyone for their generosity at the annual church gate collection last weekend. A Rambling House will take place in the Morrison Teach Ceoil, Riverstown on Saturday, March 5 at 9.30pm. A brilliant night’s entertainm­ent is guaranteed. During the night everyone will be treated to some refreshmen­ts as well as some home baking and hot food. Young and not so young will take to the floor and display their talents. They will sing a song, dance a step, play a tune and tell a story or two. Admission is € 10.

TRACTOR RUN

A tractor run will take place in Drumkeeran GAA grounds on Sunday, March 6 at 1pm. All proceeds are in aid of the O’Reilly family fund. All ages of tractors welcome, new and old. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards in Fordes Pub, Main Street, Drumkeeran.

ICA GUILD

The next guild meeting will be held on Monday, March 7 at 8.30pm in the Cooper Memorial Hall.

SHAMROCK GAELS

The Club will be holding the annual dinner dance on Easter Sunday, March 27 in Castle Dargan. Medals will be presented to Senior team who won the Division 2 League in 2015 along with Player of the Year awards. Please put the date in your diary.

CEILI

The John Hannon Annual Céilí will take place in Higgins’ Lounge, Culfadda on Friday night, March 18. There will be dancing from 10pm- 1am with refreshmen­ts served. Admission is € 10.

DATE FOR YOU DIARY

There will be a Cheese, Wine & Supper Social on Friday, April 22 in the Cooper Memorial Hall, Riverstown from 9.30pm in Aid of Taunagh Parish Church. All are welcome. Taunagh Parish Church Riverstown is hosting a Tractor Run on May 2 ( Bank Holiday Monday). More details to follow.
