1916 CELEBRATION

As we approach Easter, the Centenary of the 1916 Celebrations is picking up pace. It is suggested that windows should be dressed in town and Tricolour flags should be hung out from early March until after Easter.

The period 1916- 1922 was an epic period in the History of Ireland in establishing Independence, and awareness of this period should be brought to the fore for our children and for the many non- nationals now living in and sharing our community. Let us be proud of our heritage.
