WALLED GARDEN OPEN DAY

Tireragh Community Support Ltd is holding an open day in the walled garden in Kilglass, on Saturday, April 9, to launch the newly replanted orchard. The day will consist of a beekeeping workshop, a “grow your own veg” workshop, and a talk on the history of the old house and walled garden. All welcome. Westside Macra wishes to announce volleyball practice in Easkey community centre on Tuesday March 1st and 8th at 8.30pm with county final on Good Friday in Dromore West community centre. All welcome. Aurivo nutritioni­st will give a presentati­on in Sligo Park Hotel on Tuesday evening March, 8 at 8pm as part of the recent silage quality competitio­n with winners announced on the night, meeting open to entrants and non- entrants.

CAR BOOT SALE

A car boot sale will be held in Easkey Community Centre from 12 noon until 5pm on Sunday, March 20. Contact 09649020.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

A St Patrick’s Day parade will be held in Easkey Village at 3pm on March 17. For all groups and walkers, intending to start in Easkey, the meeting point is at Saint James’ Church Car Park. A Bandstand will be operating at Pudding Row to announce every group as they pass by. Entry is free of charge, but please register your float/ business by email: fishermans­weir@yahoo.co.uk. Dromore West Parade will commence at 4pm, to give time for floats to move on to this parade.

MATTIE CARDEN RUN/ WALK

The Mattie Carden Memorial 10k and 5k Run/ Walk will take place on Saturday, March 5 at 12.30pm in Enniscrone. Registrati­on is open on www. runireland. comor www.coretiming.com and will take place in the Ocean Sands Hotel, Enniscrone on Friday, March 4, 7- 9pm & Saturday, March 5 from 10.0012.00pm. Entry fees are € 15 for the 10k and the 5k.

The event is chip timed and AAI accredited. Trophy prizes in different categories. Finisher medals for the first 150 in the 10k and the first 50 in the 5k. Further details can be found on our Facebook page. All proceeds in aid of the Irish Kidney Associatio­n. Please support a worthy cause.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on Friday, February 19 . Numbers drawn were 16 30 34 35. Winners of € 25 were Vivien Connolly, Barbara Gallagher, Rosalie Mitchell, Rathlee School and J. P. Curley. Promoters prize Michael Weir. Next week’s jackpot will be € 4,200 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the Community Centre at 8.30 on Friday night.

EASTER FUN CAMP

An Easter Fun Camp with arts and crafts will be held in Dromore West Community Centre on March 21, 22 and 23 for children aged 7- 12 years Cost is € 30 per child. Contact Angela or Jackie on 096 37444 foe further details.

EASKEY GAA

Easkey GAA has tickets on sale for their developmen­t draw. Cost per ticket is € 100 . The first draw will be held on St Patricks Day after the parade. Contact any club member to purchase a ticket and be in with a chance to win a car, holidays and cash prizes of € 8,500 over four draws.

The club have decided to purchase the old factory and surroundin­g land. Renovation of the existing clubhouse at Castletown has begun. The club finance committee are seeking grant assistance for completion of these works but cannot be completed without the Renewal of the Developmen­t Draw
