BECOMING a parent is one of the most amazing feelings. Holding your baby for the first time is a memory you will never forget. You have hopes and dreams for their future and wish to make plans for all you can do together as a family. But first you have to get over the sleepless nights, which sometimes seem to be endless.

The pressures on parents to keep going are often overwhelming. Caring for your family, keeping on top of household chores, finding time to shop and cook can all take its toll on the mind and body. When do you get time for yourself, “ME Time” or even “US Time” for both parents. Time for a hot bath, to join a local class, have a long walk on the beach or a nice lunch date together. Giving yourself this time brings with it a feeling of wellness and encourages positive parenting.

This is where I come in, my name is Michelle Doherty and I am the Mamogs mum. Mamogs is a service that surpasses that of a traditional babysitter. When it comes to having someone else care for your baby you want the highest of quality care. I bring with me over 20 years experience caring for babies and children, 16 of those as a qualified childcare practitioner. I continue to upskill and attend training and seminars regularly, I am Garda vetted, trained in Occupational first aid, Paediatric first aid and a member of Early Childhood Ireland.

My aim is to ensure that you have peace of mind as you take some much needed and deserved time out . When I come to your home to care for your little one I will provide a full educational program focusing on your baby’s development and you will receive a written report of all care time. Why not arrange a consultation with me in your home, I’m only a stranger till we say hello.

Mamogs also provides Paediatric First Aid training, the next session is on April 16th, booking is essential email mamogs. mum@ gmail. com I provide information sessions on Finding the Right Childcare for you and your Baby, these sessions are run in Mamogs office on Ballast quay or in your workplace, at parent and toddler groups or in your home by arrangement. See www. mamogs. ie for more information or phone Michelle on 0879287635.
