Sympathy is extended to the Muldoon family, Ballinacarrow on the death of Sean. Seán was a quiet man who enjoyed his pint, the chat and music in the local till his illness prevented him from doing so. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Karina and sons, John Paul, Barry and Robert. May he rest in peace.
VINTAGE RUN
Fear the Deere, Massey is classy but Zetor is better, dust off the Honda 50’ s and shine up your old car for A Tractor, Motorbike and Vintage Run which will take place from Ballinacarrow on Sunday, February 19. Registration from midday and will take place in Ballinacarrow Community Centre.
OWENMORE GAELS
Congratulations to Owenmore Gaels Teams under- 12 boys, under- 14 girls, under- 16 girls, under- 16 boys and Minor Lads, who all received their medals at a special presentation in Ballinacarrow Community Centre by Mayo All Star Aidan O’Shea. It was great to see so many young people being awarded on the night and Trevor Sweeney, chairman, urged more parents to get involved as a club’s strength is it’s volunteers. Keep up the good work for 2017 and let’s hope we have more silverware to add to the cabinet.

Congratulations to John Mahon, who made his International debut. He was part of the Republic of Ireland under- 18 school side which faced Australia last weekend. John is son of Sylvester and Ann Marie Mahon Knockbeg.
