Join the Glens Centre Manhorhamilton for the premiere of this searing autobiographical drama by Joni Crone on Febuary 23rd. She wrote it while writer- in- residence in the Glens Centre. The play, directed by Splodar’s Prin Duignan, charts a woman’s struggle for a basic human right and her quest for inner peace. Despite public, private and familial opposition, she bravely perseveres and eventually emerges victorious.
Anna Livia Lesbia shines a light into some of the murky corners of Irish society in the 1970s and 80s but it also celebrates the idealism, courage and comradeship of a small group who see their dream come true and their dedication rewarded.

Scottish songstress, Eddi Reader celebrates her 30- year career with the release of her first career spanning compilation Eddi Reader The Best Of. A regular visitor to the Hawk’s Well she returns on Sunday the 12th from 8.00pm where she will be joined by her regular band members, John Douglas ( guitar & vocals), Boo Hewerdine ( guitar & vocals), Alan Kelly ( piano accordion) and Kevin McGuire ( double bass & vocals).
With her captivating and powerful performance, Eddi Reader has effortlessly developed into one of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers. What sets Eddi apart is the depth and quality of the emotional performance and ability not only to move the listener, but also to connect her experience to that of her audience.
Having first hit the limelight in the 1980’ s with the group Fairground Attraction, Eddi went on to collaborate on many celebrated projects throughout the years.

THE THREE AMIGOS
Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney have played a major part in the transformation of country music in Ireland and have now announced details of their winter/ spring tour 2016/ 2017. They will be playing the Radisson Blu Hotel on Wednesday the 22nd of Feb from 7.00pm.
All three enjoy hugely successful solo careers and when they come together for this unique performance the chemistry and the magic generated on stage is truly very special.
The show continues to enthral audiences with a perfect mix of music, song and comedy.

FRED AND ALICE
On Tuesday, the 14th of February, CallBack Theatre bring their production, Fred & Alice to the Hawk’s Well Theatre with a lunch- time show at 12.45pm. There will also be the option of lunch in the theatre foyer, served from 12.15pm. This will be the first of three lunchtime theatre events that the Hawk’s Well will host this Spring.
Fred & Alice is a play written by John Sheehy and follows the relationship between Fred and Alice from their days living in care to independent living. A joyous celebration of individuality and a huge hit with audiences, Fred and Alice is a show not to be missed and especially on the day that’s in it!
