A mum who was caught driving for the second time without insurance has had her case adjourned for a probation report.

Before the court was Grace Sherry, of Cloonagh, Sooey, who admitted not having insurance when stopped on February 17th 2016.

Inspector Paul Kilcoyne said the defendant was convicted in October 2015 of not having insurance and was fined € 100.

She also had a conviction for driving while holding a mobile phone.

The defendant told the court that she was on her way to hospital on February 17th for an urgent medical reason.

The case was adjourned to April 27th for a probation report.

The defendant was represented by Ms Laura Spellman, solicitor.
