McGeeney feels win was there for Armagh

-

ARMAGH boss Kieran McGeeney was not impressed with referee Paddy Neilan awarding Sligo a penalty in the final minute. He said after the game: “We had done enough to win it like and we could have been ahead by more at the time but that’s the way it goes.” He added: “It’s good to get a point but it should have been two.

“You can’t talk about referees that’s why they make so many mistakes so you just have to leave it. It’s not the fact it was late, there was a whole lot. If you timed kick- outs, there wasn’t a difference between those keepers but that’s what happens.“He said there was a tug on somebody’s jersey but listen, you’re not allowed talk about referees that’s the way it is, it’s a one- way system.

“I thought we played well, I thought we were by far ahead of what was in front of us, we should have had a lot more scores but we didn’t and that probably cost us in the end.”
