A 66- year- old man charged with a public order offence was given the benefit of the Probation Act after Judge Kevin Kilrane was informed there had been no further trouble since the incident.

The case against Chris Kelly of Hazel Grove, Maugheraboy had been adjourned from a previous court for monitoring.

It was alleged that on May 14th 2015 there was a verbal exchange between the defendant and neighbours.

Inspector Donal Sweeney said the defendant allegedly was abusive and aggressive to a neighbouring couple.
