Review Home Care aid

THE current situation whereby an older person needing an extra 30 minutes of Home Care help has to wait for someone to die to get it, is a “damning indictment” of our society.

That’s according to Cllr Seamus Kilgannon who called on the Council to ask Health Minister Simon Harris and the HSE to review the current Home Care packages.

“In 2017 it’s a terrible situation that somebody who wants an extra half hour has to wait until somebody passes away,” he told the meeting. He was supported by all councillors.
