CPR/ AED TRAINING

A small number of places are still available for refresher training on February 28 and March 1 6.30 p. m. to 8 p. m. There are also a few places available for Full CPR/ AED training on February 25 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. session and Saturday, March 11, 2 p. m. to 6 p. m. session – Please contact immediatel­y to allow scheduling. Please note the Defib/ AED is located at the Community Centre and Football Clubhouse. The code to open is posted beside each machine.

The next meeting of the CPR/ AED subcommitt­ee is on next Thursday, February 16, in Community Centre at 8 p. m. New Members always welcome. Please come along an assist with this community effort.

25 CARD GAME

The regular Tuesday night game in Community Centre commences 9 p. m.. New players always welcome- partners can be arranged. Jackpot now € 300. A good night of fun, chat and cards is guaranteed. Last week winners on 13 games were Junior McGoldrick/ Christy O’Gara. Runner- up on 12 games were Seán Collery/ Anthony McKeown.

HEALTH/ SOCIAL SERVICES

CADRA has been approved for a lottery grant to undertake a health/ social services needs assessment in the area. A steering group of all stakeholde­rs will be formed to guide and progress the project. All local groups and stakeholde­rs will be invited to inform the outcome by providing feedback/ ideas with the objective of having a system that allows people remain in own home with their needs met in an innovative and supportive system. Your views are important – more informatio­n will be provided soon.

IRISH DANCING

CADRA/ TIDY TOWNS

The weekly meeting is in Carraroe Community Centre at 7.30 p. m. each Tuesday. Please come along and assist with ideas etc. We are looking for a person to draw new map of the area. ST JOHN’S GAA CLUB

Next draw takes place in the clubhouse on Saturday, February 18, at 9 p. m. Entry € 2 per ticket of three for € 5.
