Seamus O’Rourke teams up with two time All Ireland winning actress Eileen Ward for this wonderful warm hearted comedy about family, friendship and fidelity. It will take place in the Glens Cenntre Manorhamil­ton on Thursday the 2nd March at 8.30pm.

Stumbling Myles McBarn is 50 and in the middle a life crisis, he has just lost his mother and his wife and his two grown up children have moved away.

His house and life have a minimalist feel to them and then he has a visit from his feisty 100 year old Aunt Bee, who has lived the past 82 years in the U. S. and returns to Ireland with a very heavy trunk.

She likes cars and vodka and doesn’t hold back when it comes to speaking her mind.

SING FOR THE HELL OF IT!

Do you enjoy singing with others but just don’t have time to commit to joining a choir? Come join the new social sing along evenings, open to everyone and anyone who likes to sing.

No musical experience is required. You don’t need to audition, read music, memorise song words, or sing solo. It’s all about just having fun and singing together! The choirmaste­r, Dave Flynn, will select popular songs and run through simple arrangemen­ts enabling you to sing your heart out.

There is no commitment, no performanc­e at the end this is just singing for the hell of it!

SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOP

Learn how to screen print at the Model! This workshop shows you the fundamenta­ls of screen printing with a hands- on demonstrat­ion and the chance to pull your first print!

Our 2- hour workshop Includes: All print materials, screens and inks. Introducti­on to screen printing; Overview of the printing process, Practising using printing equipment, experiment­ing with pre- made screens, printing onto textiles and paper

Bring with you: warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Workshops will take place on the following dates: Feb 28th and March 14th.

Tickets are priced at € 37.82. Workshops will be allocated on a first- come, firstserve­d basis.

BOOKS AND HOT CHOCOLATE CLUB

The Hawk’s Well Theatre presents their first junior book club for children where they will talk about brilliant books and fantastica­l characters on Sunday the 5th of March at 2.00pm.

Children will take part in a fun craft- making activity and enjoy an en- tertaining storytelli­ng session with a tasty hot chocolate.

Created to inspire the joy of reading from an early age. Suitable for ages 7- 9.

REMEMBERIN­G 2016 - SLIGO SINGS PRINCE, BOWIE, COHEN

From Prince and David Bowie to Leonard Cohen and Natalie Cole, the world lost some cherished pop culture figures in 2016.

In this very special production at the Hawk’s Well on Friday the 7th of April at 8.00pm, musicians and singers of Sligo join together in harmony to pay tribute to these incredible artists whose legacies will live on forever. Join us as we reminisce and hear over 100 voices join together to honour artists lost in 2016.

INTERNATIO­NAL WOMEN’S DAY

People of all genders are welcome to celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day at The Glens Centre and the North Leitrim Women’s Centre in Manhorhami­lton on 8 March 2017 at 11.00am.

The theme for 2017 is # BeBold-ForChange. In the morning at the Women’s Centre in the Bee Park Community Centre, we will be serving the best coffee, tea and cakes in Leitrim. We’ll be entertaine­d by local poets and singers including Amy O’Hara and Mary Branley. Entry is € 5.
