Assaultaccused duosentfortrial

Two men have been sent for trial to the Circuit Criminal Court charged with assault and violent disorder in Sligo town last August.

Nico Farrell of St Joseph’s Terrace, Lee Rodney Gethins, Cranmore and Damien O’Sullivan ( 24) of Maryville Hostel, Finisklin are all charged with assaulting Anthony and Matthew Marren and violent disorder on Lower Market Street on August 3rd 2016.

State Solicitor for Sligo Mr Hugh Sheridan served Books of Evidence on Farrell and Gethins but O’Sullivan failed to appear in court.

Farrell and Gethins were remanded on bail on condition they don’t interfere with witnesses, keep the peace and be of good behaviour until their trial at Sligo Circuit Criminal Court on March 28th next.

A bench warrant was issued for O’Sullivan.
