Spring is in the air at the Benwisken Centre

- SORCHA CROWLEY

THE Benwiskin Centre Hostel in Ballintrillick is reporting good feedback from their latest survey to find out the communities needs and desires for the centre.

The online survey ( found at benwiskincentre. com) is running until March 24th to give the public a chance to have their say in this year’s services and activities.

“Every few years we do a community survey to get suggestions, to involve people in future plans for the centre,” said Centre Manager Jackie Warnock.

The centre generates a positive community spirit by improving the economic and social development of the Ballintrillick area of North Sligo.

It is an essential community resource in the absence of a Post Office, shop, pub and CoOp stores.

Centre organisers have announced details of upcoming spring events.

Triona Sheerin Warnock is hosting an Easter Floral workshop on Wednesday 12th April.

On April 23rd Michael Bell of Sligo Branch, Bird Watch Ireland will be hosting a talk and field trip on the flora and fauna to be found in the Mullaghmore/ Bunduff area.

Tea and coffee will be available on arrival at The Benwiskin Centre, a nominal fee for refreshments is welcome. The event itself is free.
