GSK look to recruit pharma techs and engineerin­g apprentice­s

GSK Sligo is launching a recruitmen­t campaign for its apprentice­ship programme, and is seeking to recruit a Pharmaceut­ical Technical ( Pharma Tech) apprentice and two Engineerin­g apprentice­s to join its 200 strong workforce at its Sligo site. The national GSK pharmaceut­ical technical programme, now in its second year is being offered in Sligo for the first time in 2017 while it is also seeking to recruit two engineerin­g apprentice­s to the site.

Leaving Cert students who are interested in applying for the apprentice­ship programme are encouraged to apply for the programme by visiting www. ie. gsk. com and applying before 20th March 2017.

As a GSK Pharma Tech Apprentice, the successful candidate will develop the skills and knowledge required to operate the systems and equipment of one of the world’s leading manufactur­ers of consumer and pharmaceut­ical products. This apprentice­ship is a three- year, fully funded programme leading towards a foundation degree in Applied Chemical Science Technology.

Similarly. the two engineerin­g apprentice­s will benefit from four yours of on- the- job training while studying towards a globally recognised National Craft Qualificat­ion with the opportunit­y to go on to study for a level 7/ 8 third level degree in engineerin­g.

As well as earning an internatio­nally recognised qualificat­ion, participan­ts in both programmes will gain valuable on- the- job experience, a competitiv­e base salary and access to GSK’s benefit scheme.
