COMMUNITY COUNCIL MARCH MEETING

The March meeting of the Community Council will take place on Tuesday, March 14, in the Community Centre at 9 p. m. All club representa­tives and delegates are reminded to attend.

COUNTRY MARKET

Beltra Country Market on Saturday, March 11, from 10 a. m. to midday will host a Crafting with Claire Workshop for children. It is also ‘ Denim Day for Dementia’ and a collection will be taken up in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

SKREEN- DROMARD COMMUNITY CENTRE

The office in the Community Centre is open to the public, where typing photocopyi­ng email and CV preparatio­n service is available and more for a reasonable fee. Anyone requiring any of these services should call into the office from Monday to Friday or give Anne Marie a call to book an appointmen­t at 087 6649635.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Volunteers are needed for the Meals on Wheels Service provided from the Easkey Community Centre on Saturday and Sunday of each weekend. Anyone with two hours to spare and would be willing to help out is asked to contact 096 49818.

SKREEN- DROMARD TÚS SCHEME

Skreen- Dromard is currently looking to employ a Tús worker to carry out general maintenanc­e and repair work in various locations in the community. NATIONAL SCHOOLS ENROLMENT

The two local national schools, Ballinlig and High Park, are now taking enrollment details for the September 2017 intake of pupils. WEST SLIGO SINGERS

West Sligo Singers is a new choir based in Skreen and it meets on Tuesday nights in Church of Ireland Hall, Skreen. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to come along and enjoy a fun evening of singing. For further details contact email westsligos­ingers@ gmail. com.

SOCIAL DANCING CLASS

Social dancing class has commenced in the SkreenDrom­ard Community Centre on Thursday evenings from 8 p. m. to 10 p. m., where one can learn to jive, foxtrot, quickstep, waltz and more while keeping fit. Just come along any Thursday evening and enjoy.

SKREEN- DROMARD PRE- SCHOOL

SLIGO CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE

The Sligo Cancer Support Centre now has an open/ drop- in centre at 35 Ard Aisling Charlestow­n Road Tubbercurr­y. This centre is open from Monday to Thursday each week from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Telephone contact is 089 4480527.
