Coirm Gael Linn aims to promote the use of Irish among primary school pupils by providing a stage for them to display their talents in a non- competitiv­e Irish- speaking environmen­t. Approximat­ely eight schools from counties Sligo, Donegal, Leitrim and Mayo will be taking part this Thursday the 9th of March in the Hawk’s Well Theatre from 11.00am- 2.00pm. 5 THE HENRY GIRLS

The amazing Henry Girls are celebratin­g Internatio­nal Women’s Day with a preview of their new album to be launched this Friday the 10th of March in their native Donegal. Gatehouse are a newly formed band with a line- up of experience­d and up and coming artistes, who are launching their sound on to the scene with the release

of their debut CD, Tús Nua.. The songs and tunes from Gatehouse are based in the North Connaught traditions, the Sean Nos singing tradition of Connemara, the rich Ulster song tradition along with sprinkling­s of other influences. 8 INTERNATIO­NAL WOMEN’S DAY

People of all genders are welcome to celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day at The Glens Centre, North Leitrim Women’s Centre and the Manorhamil­ton Library this Wednesday March 8th. The theme for 2017 is #BeBoldForC­hange and it will run from 11.00pm to 12.30pm and the event is free. There will be entertainm­ent by local poets and singers including Amy O’Hara and Mary Branley.

9 LATIN DANCE CLASS

An introducti­on to Latin Dance taught by Loander and Jésus, Latin dancers from Venezuela in a fun and authentic environmen­t – with compliment­ary drinks and mini tapas. This is a collaborat­ive arts project between The Model and residents of Globe House. Book early to avoid disappoint­ment, 20 places max. Every Thursday 6pm-7.30pm € 5 per class.
