Youth ( 17) stole X- Box games and phones

-

A 17- year- old boy who twice stole X- Box games and mobile phones from Tesco would be stopped in his tracks, Judge Kevin Kilrane stated. The boy admitted the thefts which occurred on April 5th and 6th. The total value of the goods stolen came to € 570.98. He stole one X- Box game and a phone on the first day and four games and a phone on the second. On both occasions he left by a back stairs and none of the property was recovered. Ms Laura Spellman, solicitor ( defending) said the goods were sold for a relatively small amount to a foreign national. The youth told the Judge he thought the man he sold the items to was Polish and Mark was his first name. Judge Kilrane told the boy he didn’t believe him at all. “He’s starting out young on his criminal career...... you must be stopped in your tracks and it’s lucky you have been caught at this formative stage in your life.”

The case was put back to July 27th for monitoring which would last for two years.
