Drove away without paying for petrol twice

-

A driver who drove off from garages without paying for petrol on two occasions was given a one month jail term.

David Moran, who is currently in custody on other matters by the Circuit Court, drove away from a garage in Ballygawley without paying for € 43.60 of petrol and € 44 worth of petrol at McCormack’s. He also admitted charges of driving without insurance.

Moran told the court he wasn’t taking his medication at the time but was since back taking it. He was now awaiting while in prison for a place in a treatment centre.

Judge Kilrane imposed concurrent one month sentences on the petrol theft and insurances charges and banned him from driving for five years.
