IT Sligo marketing students are organising a float for the Sligo volunteer centre.

Their work is part of the community project module at IT Sligo. The module offers an opportunity for students to gain valuable hands on experience in marketing. The float will be on display in Sligo’s ST Patricks day parade.

The students will be promoting the Sligo volunteer centre. With Sligo being named European capital of volunteering for 2017 there will be a big focus on volunteering in this year’s parade.

The float hopes to incorporate and promote the service which the centre offers. With help from the Sligo sport and recreation partnership the students have acquired a tandem bicycle which will be on display in the parade.
