Brain Injury supports

“OUR acute beds are blocked up by people waiting for step down rehabilitation services,” said Cllr Rosaleen O’Grady. She was calling on the Minister for Health Simon Harris to support and fund Community based rehab services for people with brain injury.

“There’s very little support for family members who are supporting them 24/ 7,” she said. “I urge that the Council write to Minister Simon Harris to remind him of the urgent need for funding for these services,” she said. “Our neuro- rehab services are under funded. People are being kept in hospitals,” she said.
