Lough Gill Loop Road

COUNCIL officials have agreed to “take a fresh look at the bigger picture” of road safety on the Lough Gill Loop Road.

Director of Services Tom Kilfeather had originally told Cllrs Declan Bree and Seamus Kilgannon that they had no proposals to reduce the speed limit on this road.

Cllr Kilgannon pointed out that five large buses use the road daily: “If there was an industry there we’d be doing cartwheels to ensure the right road network is there.” Mr Kilfeather said they’d try to source funding and “progress things.”
