Illegal dumping
CLLR Martin Baker has asked the Council to install hidden cameras at two illegal dumping sites at Rusheen and Drumfin.
“It’s a major problem. The fence at Drumfin has been knocked down. The Sligo Champion reported on it last week,” he said.
Director of Services Tom Kilfeather accepted that illegal dumping was a “signficant issue.” He said the Council is buying cameras and will deploy them at illegal dumping sites, such as those at Rusheen and Drumfin near Riverstown.
