Calls for traffic calming in Ballisodare

CLLR Seamus Kilgannon has called for traffic calming measures to be brought in at the old N4/ N59 roundabout at Ballisodare Bridge.

He told members it was in the interests of “health and safety”.

Senior Engineer with Sligo County Council Tom Brennan told Cllr Kilgannon that the roundabout was within a 50km/ h speed zone. “We will look at accident records at this location. If there are recurring accidents we will apply to T. I. I. for funding to improve road safety in the area,” he told Cllr Kilgannon.
