LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Killoran’s Bar on Saturday, March 4, for a jackpot of € 6,200. The numbers drawn were 7, 8, 14 and 17. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of € 6,300 will be held on Saturday, March 11, in Paddy’s Bar. The winners of € 20 each were Séamus Sheerin, St Ronan’s; Séamus Mullaney, Geevagh; David and Maura, Flagfield; Olivia McDermott, Ballinful and Margaret McTiernan, Killavoggy.

GLEANN ICA

Gleann ICA have organised Chair Yoga in Gleann Community Centre on Tuesday and Tuesday, March 21 and 28, from 9 p. m. to 10 p. m. There is also Flower Arranging on Tuesday, April 4, at 8 p. m. ( note time) in Gleann Community Centre.

10K WALK AND RUN

The annual 10k walk and run will be held on this coming Saturday. Registrations is from 11 a. m. in Paddy’s with the walkers away at 11.30 and then the runners will go at midday. There will be refreshments afterwards in Paddy’s and as on other occasions all donations of sandwiches and home baking will be very much appreciated.

GLAD are promoting this event mainly to raise funds for the insurance on the playground. Since its provision the playground has given untold enjoyment to the younger children of the area. The appeal goes out to the families of all these youngsters to support this event so it can continue to be a source of great fun and enjoyment for all our children.

There will be music on the night in Paddy’s and a raffle will take place for a selection of prizes which have been generously sponsored. Looking forward to seeing a good turnout for this fundraiser.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

If you are considering attending a parade on St Patrick’s Day, well our neighbours in Riverstown are putting one on. This was a great event last year and they deserve our support. Events will start at 2.30 p. m.

COUNTRY MARKET

Country market is open at Cliffoney Hall on the first and third Sunday of the month from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. New vendors always welcome to join the group. View their Facebook page for further details. tas members. 100% of donations on the day go to MSF Emergency Appeal for Syria.
