Local musician, Siobhán O’Donnell, will perform a house concert at Moy River B& B in Cloonacool this coming Friday, March 10, at 8 p. m. Siobhán is currently promoting her first solo album, Beautiful Affair. Early booking is advisable at 087 2512030.

COMMUNITY PARK DRAW

The Community Park draw for February was hosted by Brennan’s on Saturday night last. First prize of € 200 went to Cloonacool Church, € 100 was won by Hughie Marren and € 50 each was won by Tom and Brid Calvey and Paddy O’Hara. Consolatio­n prizes went to David Mullarkey, Frank Durcan, William Henry and Breda and Fergus Brennan. Congratula­tions to all our winners and many thanks for your continued support.

BOSTON TEA PARTY

The annual Boston tea party held in Easkey on Saturday, March 4, was a great success. A total of € 2,500 was raised for the Meals on Wheels. Thanks to everyone involved, the sponsors of spot prizes, all who attended and donated to the cause.

NIGHT OF DANCING

St Farnan’s Ladies’ Gaelic Football Associatio­n presents a night of dancing with country music star Robert Mizzell on April 6 in the Diamond Coast Hotel. Tickets will be on sale shortly.

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on March 3. Numbers drawn were 9, 13, 14 and 15. Winners of € 25 were Helena Mullen, Liam Weir, and TJ O’Brien, Eugene Conlon and Mary Weir. Promoters prize Joe Cosgrove. ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The annual Dromore West St Patrick’s Day parade will be taking place on Friday, March 17. The parade will commence at 4 p. m. and parade entrants are asked to assemble at Dromore West Church and along the Easkey Road from 3.30 p. m. There will be refreshmen­ts and entertainm­ent in the Dromore West Community Centre immediatel­y after the parade.

As Sligo has been nominated as the European Volunteeri­ng Capital for 2017 we will be promoting this as our Theme for this year’s parade to showcase all the volunteer work that goes on in Dromore West and the surroundin­g areas.

So get involved and show the community the great work that you do for the community and people of Sligo. The parade is open to all businesses, community groups, volunteers and individual­s to take part with an award for the best parade entrant. CAKE SALE FUNDRAISER

The local Dutch Bakery is hosting a cake sale fundraiser on Sunday, March 19, from 11 a. m. in the Dromore West Community Centre.

All goods will be provided by the Dutch Bakery and all proceeds from this, will be going to support the newly formed Templeboy Toddler Parent Group
