WOOFLE

In this thirty minute show, singer- songwriter Dan Leith brings lots of furry fun with Woofle – a show about one Dan and his dog with lots of silly songs on Friday the 17th of March at 2.00pm. From chasing bees and getting mucky, to taking a walk and having a bath, this quirky combination of video footage and live music gives an unusual view of the ups and downs of having a dog as your best friend. The brainchild of writer- performer Dan Leith, the production was inspired by his own four- legged best friend Tyla Brown ( who also stars in the show via video footage).

The show highlights the significance of pets and our relationships to them, particularly as children. Well known to provide powerful mental and physical health benefits, our childhood experiences with our pets last a lifetime. Woofle is an irresistible tribute to the fun, playful and often slobbery unconditional love pets bring to our lives. This project has been designed specifically for young audiences and family audiences with an optimal children’s age range of 4- 10. Tickets are priced at € 5. Call the box office on: 071- 91 61518.

MICK FLANNERY

Mick Flannery is back on the road performing new material from his new album ‘ I Own You’ which features some of Mick’s finest work to date. He will play the Hawk’s Well Theatre on March 24th at 8.00pm. Following the release of his number one album ‘ By The Rule’ in 2014, Mick took a short break and began writing again in 2015. Basing himself between the counties of Cork and Clare, Mick was moved and motivated by current events around the world, specifically one tragic event in April 2015 that inspired the title track.

Speaking very directly about the single, Mick states; “The song I Own You” is based on the idea of the “poor man” breaking into the “rich man’s” house. It was inspired by wealth inequality in capitalist societies. This album is a step away from previous releases, something Mick differentiates between his own albums. Tickets are priced at € 22/ 11 U18’ s and are available now from the box office on: 071- 91- 61518.
