LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Paddy’s Bar on Saturday, March 11, for a jackpot of € 6,300. The numbers drawn were 7, 12, 14 and 28. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of € 6,400 will be held on Saturday, March 18, in Shivnan’s Bar. The winners of € 20 each were Ellen McTiernan, Geevagh; Olivia McDermott, Geevagh; Charlene and Martin, Geevagh; Declan Lavin, Castlebald­win and Bernadette McDermott, Geevagh.

SILVER WEDDING

Paddy Joe and Alice McDonagh recently celebrated their silver wedding anniversar­y with a party held in Paddy’s Bar. They were joined by a large group of family, friends and neighbours for what was a fabulous night. During the night a raffle took place in aid of North West Hospice. The proceeds of the raffle and a subsequent card game raised a total of € 1,030.50 which has been presented to the North West Hospice.

Paddy Joe and Alice wish to express their deep gratitude and appreciati­on to all who helped with their celebratio­ns and to all who supported or donated to the raffle. We wish them many more years of health and happiness.

CLASP MEN SHED

CLASP Men Shed in partnershi­p with Sligo ETB is starting a new course on how to design and make your own garden furniture in anticipati­on of the wonderful summer which is coming. The course will be taught over eight Thursday nights by an experience­d tutor who will cover the various stages of design and manufactur­ing finishing with a quality piece of outdoor furniture. The course starts on Thursday, March 23, at 8 p. m. in the men shed Geevagh to book a place call 071 9165577. We are currently taking orders for bird and bat boxes along with our usual range of garden furniture, just call Maryann to place your order.

RIVERSTOWN CCE

Riverstown CCE present the Sliabh an Iarrainn players with their production of ‘ Moll’ on April, eighth at 8.30 p. m. Admission is € 10 and it all takes place in Riverstown Hall.
