Driver’s third no insurance conviction
DRIVER who has been convicted of driving without insurance for the third time has been fined € 300 and banned for three years.
Charged with driving without insurance and driving while banned at Shannon Eighter on August 17th last was Christopher Ward ( 30) of Abbey Court, Frenchpark. In March 2014 he had been banned for four years. The case had been adjourned for a year and Mr Tom MacSharry, solicitor ( defending) said the defendant hadn’t come to Garda notice since. He was a full time carer for his child. Ward said he no longer had a car and wouldn’t be getting one. “I’ve learned from my mistakes,” he said. Judge Kevin Kilrane told Ward he would serve a minimum of two years off the road from the date of the court.
