A man caught driving without car insurance at a routine Garda check point has been banned from driving for a year.

25- year- old Kyle Henderson of Flannery Terrace, Gurteen, was charged with having no driver’s licence, no tax and no insurance at Drumartin, Tubbercurry on October 7th 2016.

The court heard he had no previous convictions.

Henderson told Judge Kilrane he had never held a driver’s licence.

Judge Kilrane convicted and fined Henderson ¤ 200 and disqualified him from driving for one year.
