Remembering Rescue crew of 116
Pictured are the children from Learn Early Montessori in Ballymote who held a tree planting ceremony in memory of the crew members of Irish Coast Guard rescue helicopter 116. Capt Dara Fitzpatrick was killed and her colleagues, Capt Mark Duffy, winch man Ciaran Smith and Mark Ormsby are still missing following an incident off Blacksod, County Mayo. The children lowered the tri colour to half mast and they stood in silence to remember the heroes of 116, after which they planted their rememberance tree.
